Thanksgiving
Thanksgiving is by far a favorite holiday of ours …When family gathers to eat too much, perhaps drink too much, and most importantly be thankful for each other ...And hopeful for the year ahead.
This year, we wanted to go back to the basics of what thanksgiving means to us…
We used burlap for the first layer of our table. Sure we have fancier tablecloths in stock, but there's something so incredible about the texture, imperfections and beauty of burlap. (We've used a lot of it recently and thank our friends at Forsyth Fabric for ordering so much for us!). Next, we layered a charming, embroidered and machine-washable placemat (turned sideways so your napkin won't hide the embroidery.) Followed by a vibrant, autumnal orange charger. Topped with wooden pears (which we are in love with!) and matching embroidered napkins, paired with complimentary orange and brown solids, held together with insanely-perfect floral napkin rings. The center of the table is the perfect toss of stems, squirrels, acorns, seedballs and turkeys, along with small and larger topiaries in differing pots.
If this doesn't warm your hearts and bellies, maybe the stuffing will! Happy Thanksgiving!
